Llantas y Artefactos de Hule S.A. de C.V. started operations in Mexico City highlighting: Handcraft work and few requirements about Quality Control. Begins the turboprop aircraft operation, thus there was a requirement for updating several techniques and processes.
Unprecedented growth of the airline industry. Processes and Quality Control were required to be improved. The certifications of the D.G.A.C. & F.A.A. were obtained.
The Cuautitlán retreading plant was designed and built. New equipment & machinery were acquired, several processes were improved, and the staff were trained and qualified.
The Holographic machine was replaced by a Shearography machine, in order to apply NDT to all tires subject to retreading process.
A new SIO press was installed for improving the curing process of radial tires.
The QC Laboratory was updated with the acquisition of Rheometer and Tensometer equipment.
The Quality Assurance function was incorporated into the processes. All procedures manuals approved by the D.G.A.C. and the F.A.A. were revised and updated. A new Orbitread 2001 machine is acquired for the application of strip rubber.
A CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT philosophy was adopted under the PDCA, & LEAN MANUFACTURING principles, in order to comply not only the regulatory requirements; but also the requirements of our clients and thus be the best technical-economical option; 2021 The SMS certification is obtained.
